There’s
not much that surpasses the cuteness of a pair of polka-dotted baby
socks—besides ones that double as a daily calendar. Seeing “Monday”
strewn across your little one’s feet would surely shake off those
beginning-of-the-week doldrums in a snap. Lucky for you, these “stylish
and whimsical” bundles of cuteness are the latest craze to hit the baby
market.
Trumpette:
A Baby Collection was founded by innovator Jon
Stevenson. Before the birth of his brainchild, Stevenson spent 10 years
in the men’s fashion industry. After adopting his son Nicky, Stevenson
discovered that most infant apparel on the market was directed toward
baby girls. In response, he launched a small-scale line that was geared
specifically toward all of the fashion-neglected baby boys. With
incredible consumer feedback, he used his creative energies to focus his
novel fashion approach. This specialized concentration eventually led to
today’s latest tot trend—Trumpette baby socks.
Typically, the majority of
the baby commodities are
a whole lot of
pastels and lace. This is the elemental reason why Trumpette baby socks are such a breath of fresh air. Instead of
frou-frou pretty, these mini feet warmers are fun and funky. Since
cutting edge is a staple of the celebrity world, it’s no wonder that
Hollywood Moms like Gwen Stefani (shown below), Britney Spears,
Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sofia Coppola (shown above) and Jennifer Garner
have all taken on the Trumpette footsie fashion.
Trumpette
socks are sized to fit infants 0-12 months and are available in a wide
assortment of motifs. Made of a combination of Cotton and Spandex (the
latter which prevents the standard sliding-off nuisance) and with a
non-skid sole, they provide comfort and security on top of their
flair. Although sold individually, themed box sets serve as outstanding
gifts. Since the line’s motivation was rooted in providing baby boys
with more garb options, there are endearing masculine stand-outs like
Johnny’s Tennis Shoe and Harley Davidson designs. However, the little
fellas aren’t the only ones with special themes—Mary Jane, Ballerina,
and precious Pixie socks are perfect for the feet of little girls.
